Kids & Teens Anger Management
Anger management and behavioral health for ages 9 to 16
Private anger management and behavioral health sessions for children and teens ages 9 to 16. Four 1-on-1 sessions over four weeks with a therapist who works with young people, so your child learns where the anger comes from and what to do with it instead.

Kids & Teens Anger Management / Behavioral Health
Parents usually call us after something has already happened. A fight at school. A suspension. A hole in a bedroom door. A teenager who slams doors and will not talk, or a nine year old whose temper has started to scare the rest of the house.
This program is built for ages 9 to 16, and it is taught 1-on-1 rather than in a group. Our therapists have specific tools for young people: they help a child understand the root of their anger while giving them new ways to express themselves and channel it in a healthier, more productive direction. The program is four sessions, one hour each, over four weeks, for $295.
Who this program is for
Children and teens ages 9 to 16 whose anger is showing up at home, at school, or both.
Students referred by a school counselor, an administrator, or as part of a discipline plan after a fight or an outburst.
Families referred by a caseworker, a therapist, an attorney, or a juvenile court matter.
Parents who are not in any kind of proceeding at all, and simply want their child to have better tools before things get worse.
What your child works on
We do not lecture a child about behaving. We teach the same emotional regulation skills we teach adults, translated into language and examples that make sense at their age.
Naming the feeling underneath
what is actually driving the anger, which is usually fear, embarrassment, or feeling unheard.
Spotting the warning signs early, in the body, before the blowup.
Practical ways to cool down in the moment, at school and at home.
Saying the hard thing with words instead of a fist, a slammed door, or a silent week.
Handling conflict with teachers, coaches, siblings, and friends.
Building the confidence to walk away from a situation that is going nowhere good.
How sessions work
Sessions are private and one-on-one, not a class with other kids. That matters at this age, because most children will not open up in a room full of peers. It also means the material is built around your child and your household instead of read from a binder.
Sessions are held at our Marietta office, or by telehealth where that works better for your family and your schedule. We book around school hours. Parents are looped in on what their child is working on and what to reinforce at home between sessions, so the work does not stop when the session ends.
If a school, caseworker, or court has given you specific requirements, call us before you book and we will confirm the format meets them first.
What you receive when you finish
When your child completes the four sessions you receive documentation you can hand to a school, a caseworker, or an attorney.
